Invitation for contributions to a Special Issue of Qualitative Research in Psychology
Online qualitative inquiries in psychology: Critical contributions of emerging scholars
Aims
- To showcase some of the innovative approaches to critical research in psychology
- To generate scholarly dialogue around the use of online methodologies in psychology
- To provide a platform for early career researchers (ECRs)*
Note: Preference shall be given to ECRs, but other submissions will be considered if they fit in the scope and if space allows.
Possible topics and themes
- Possibilities and pitfalls of critical online research in Psychology
- Methodological innovations
- Ethical issues of online research in Psychology
- Reflexive accounts of engaging in online critical research
- Theoretical contributions
Format
- Reviews, commentary articles, methodological papers, new empirical contributions and short papers; book reviews (contact guest editors for further information)

Submissions
Please send a short proposal (of 400 words max) to Alexandra Gibson by 11 November 2013, providing the following information:
- the topic and outline of your manuscript;
- how your manuscript will contribute to the themes of the issue, as outlined above;
- the form of manuscript you will submit (e.g., empirical paper)
Successful proposals
Authors will be invited to submit a manuscript by 17 February 2014.
Note: All full submissions will be peer reviewed and we cannot provide any guarantee of the acceptance of your manuscript to the Special Issue prior to the review process.
